ACH for contractors landing a day late in Massachusetts?

We ran Wednesday payroll for 14 contractors out of Boston and two of them still did not see the deposit Thursday morning. Same bank as last cycle. Is this a same-day ACH cutoff thing or did we miss a holiday window?
